With athletes from six Monterey County high schools represented this summer, it has been great to see such a strong and connected training environment early in the season.
Below are a few important updates and upcoming opportunities, including summer registration information, youth clinics, high school scrimmages, team gear, and more.
Summer Registration & Program Updates
Our girls program has officially reached capacity, and limited space remains for high school boys this summer.
7th & 8th grade athletes may also participate with coach approval.
This summer’s program includes three weekly practices, local competition, scrimmages, and a training environment centered on skill development, game understanding, and preparation for the fall high school season.
If you know athletes or families who may still be interested in joining us this summer, please help spread the word.

Free Summer Youth Clinics

We are excited to continue offering free beginner youth clinics this summer for boys and girls in grades 5th-8th.
Upcoming clinic dates:
May 23
June 20
July 18
Each clinic will include different drills,
games, and skill instruction, and families are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions.
Clinics run from 12:00–1:45 p.m. at the Pirate Pool.

Summer High School Scrimmages
We are excited to offer several summer high school scrimmage opportunities at Pacific Grove High School this summer.

Upcoming scrimmage dates:
June 13
June 27
July 18
Players will compete alongside teammates from their high school programs whenever possible. Athletes from schools without enough players to field a full team will be placed with other teams for the event.
These scrimmages are open to Monterey Bay United athletes as well as local players not affiliated with our club. They are intended to provide additional game experience and a fun, competitive summer environment for local athletes regardless of club affiliation.

Reminder that the Nike Water Polo Camp at Stevenson School will take place June 15–18.
The camp is open to athletes ages 10–14 and includes both day and boarding options.
Additional information and registration can be found here.

Our team store remains open for athletes and families looking to purchase suits, apparel, and MBU gear for the summer season.

We are excited to share that a newly redesigned MBU website will be launching soon.
The updated site will include improved program information, registration resources, schedules, and additional club updates throughout the year.
