Gary Figueroa is a legend in USA Water Polo and for many years was considered to be one of the top water polo players in the United States. He is an Olympic Silver Medalist (1984), a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist, and was a member of the USA National Team from 1976 - 1984. In addition, between 1974 - 1977, he led UC Irvine to three NCAA national championship runner-up finishes, as well as a 3rd place national finish. As a coach, Figueroa, has coached club water polo since 1998, and was previously the head coach at Palma, Notre Dame, and Salinas HS. In addition, he is an experienced NCAA, USAWP, and High School referee.
